An affordable entry into the world of switch, this traditional/spey hybrid brings the salmon/steelhead angler into a whole new world while building on traditional fly fishing foundations. The 8wt is perfectly designed for great lakes applicaltions and has the versitiaty to swing streams, high stick nymph or indy fish. Deleivery of a long belly or Double taper can be done using spey and traditional roll casting. Utiliting Wieght forwards and long bellues this rod can deliever large flies over longer distances using a two handed overhand cast. Laying out 80ft of line is a matter of will, as this style of rod can improve your cast in a matter of minutes. This mid priced rod will compliment the hard core steelheaders, surf fly anglers, shad or salmon anglers arsonal.
