Rods Built on Beulah Blanks
If you are not familiar with Beulah rods then I suggest you first check out Beulah's website. When it comes to building a new rod I can get any blank for several different distributors, but when it comes to building a rod for myself Beulah is more often then not what I choose.
11'6" Spey rod
Custom 11'6" spey with wood accents, and titanium guides.
On of my favorite blanks both as a spey and as a float rods for great lakes steelhead is Beulah's 11'6" 6/7.
Straight from Beulah's website.
Eleven and half feet and extremely light in hand this spey rod is essentially an extension of our Switch Series. Excellent choice for small and mid size streams for summer steelheading, especially when backcasting quarters are tight. Our 11'6" also makes a great cross-over rod for streamer fishing monster rainbows and browns. Don't under estimate this stick it has plenty of punch to turn over tips and bigger flies when called upon. Recommended lines: Beulah Elixir Spey 380, Skagit style lines from 350-400 grains.

November Steelhead taken on a custom Beulah 11'6" 6/7 spey
For float fishing the action of this blank is second to none. It has the sensitivity to perform flawlessly when fished using 4-6lb leaders, yet the strenght in reserve to muscle kings out of the mighty Genny. Light, strong and durable the 11'6" may just be the best float rod in its class.
